California blooming

I simply love the flowers and the trees here. The ordinary pot plants at home are trees and hedges here. Like a lot of neighbours here have pelargonians as bushes and hibiscuses as trees. This tree I don't know what name it got but it's beautiful and resembles of a magnolia but the flowers are gigantic. Took pict outside a Target surronded by these trees.

I have tried to grow one or another of these blue african lillies at home very uncuccessful- sadly to me and my wallet. Here the grow almost like weeds both blue and white.

On out way home at the 405 N we saw an accident-wich is quite commond when each side of the freeway has 6 lanes. None were seriously hurt but probably chocked.

This is a pic from our breakfast view yesterday. We had breakfast at Schooner or Later at the Seal Beach Yacht Club. They have some really nice boats here....and quite a few of them as well.

Lasse had his American breakfast with omelette and bacon.
More yachts and sailboats.
I love some of the American architectural features- like these windows
on this house on 4Th St in Long Beach
I do miss a lawn and a garden here...
This is another house featured on 4Th St in Long Beach.

The oilpumps are working day and night.....both inland and offshore.
At Sevilla's we had our skewers of different kinds of meats and we had the BEST aioli I've ever tasted made with fresh garlic ( alot ) , American maio, olive oil and...( have to ask Britta about ingredient n 4...can't really remember) and another tapas was lobster with lemon and butter.
Dessert at Sevilla's in Long Beach
Today is scheduled for Long Beach Shorline village and tonight Britta and me will meet up with Logan. Britta is now at work so me and Compton is gong to have a nice and relaxing day of our own. Lasse is at the convention and hopefulle he'll be back before the Lakers' game ends tonight-It's the finals so ....let's hope for a calm evening in DownTown.
Bye for now,
Petra
